This spring I have had a great time showing my 4-H steer and heifer. So far I have attended three shows, and there are still more to come! Even if you are not in 4-H there are numerous junior and open cattle shows that you can participate in, but if you are already in 4-H then all of the work of halter breaking and feeding an animal is already done! I would encourage any young cattle enthusiast to check out some of the junior or open cattle shows besides 4-H shows that are in your area! It's a great way to get your cattle exposed to the hustle and bustle of shows, practice your skills, and have a great time with friends!
